Leroy Fortner

Mr. Leroy Fortner, 71, of Fries, VA, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2023, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  He was born in Surry County on August 13, 1951, to the late Everett and Ruby Moncus Fortner.  Mr. Fortner had his own auto body repair shop.  He is survived by his fiancée, Mary Largen; a sister and brother-in-law, Ethelene and Fred Arrington; sisters-in-law, Diane Todd, Pat Todd, Blanch “Bunny” Todd; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Fortner was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Beck; brothers, Delane Todd, Curtis Todd, and Carl Todd.  A private memorial service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017.  Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
