Leroy Jenkins

Mr. Leroy Jenkins, 82, of Sebring, FL, passed away Wednesday evening, November 26, 2014, at Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center in Sebring, FL. Mr. Jenkins was born January 25, 1932, in Bowling Green, FL, to the late Robert E. Lee Jenkins and Helen Marie McCoy Jenkins. Leroy served our country in the United States Air Force for 13 years. He and his late wife, Irene, were self-employed in the photography/film processing industry for many years. He is survived by a daughter, Debra Lee Baker of Georgia; a brother, Ronnie Jenkins of Okeechobee, FL; and three sisters, Nora Mae Carlson of Sebring, FL, Patsy Ruiz of North Carolina, and Joann Moore of Jacksonville, FL. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Woodruff Jenkins; a son, Leroy Jenkins, Jr.; and an infant sister, Barbara Jane Jenkins. The funeral service will be held Thursday, December 4, 2014, at 11:00 AM at Maple Grove United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ryan Mendenhall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:30 until 11:00 AM at the church. Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy is serving the family.
