Mrs. Leslie Kirkman Eldridge, 64, of Dobson passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, May 28, 2012. She was born in Surry County on November 10, 1947 to the late Orby Marion and Ruth Edwards Kirkman. Mrs. Eldridge was a graduate of Western Carolina University and was employed by the Surry County Departmenmt of Social Services as Project Manager and was a faithful member of Salem Fork Baptist Church. She had a great passion for gardening and spending quality time with her family, friends, her church family and her work family, who all were very special to her. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving sisters, Marian and husband Gary O'Neal of Winston-Salem, Laura and husband David Neal of McRae, GA and Patti Snow and friend, Terry Bowman of Mount Airy; special nieces and nephews, Chris and wife Johanna Reynolds of Woodstock, GA, Amanda and husband Robbie Cox of King, Mary Beth and husband Adam Hand of Macon , GA and Bryan and wife Susan Reynolds of Woodstock, GA; great-nieces and nephew, Lily Reynolds, Anna Reynolds, Allison Hand, Caroline Reynolds and Harrison Reynolds; numerous very special friends, her church family and her work family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 2010 by her husband, Randy, who was the love of her life. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Salem Fork Baptist Church by Rev. Tom Parker with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salem Fork Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. 491, Dobson, NC 27017. Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the family.
