Lester King

Mr. Lester King, age 91, of Claudville, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home.  Mr. King was born in Patrick County on October 17, 1926, to Sam and Ella Crissman King.  He was a farmer and good friend to many.  He will be dearly missed.  Surviving are nieces and nephews and a dear friend and neighbor, Helen Hooker.  In addition to his parents, Mr. King was preceded in death by sisters, Lola Bowman, and Esther Goins; and a brother, Vester King.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Red Bank Primitive Baptist Church by Rev. Pete King.  The family will receive friends Sunday, at Moody of Mt. Airy, beginning at 12:30.
