Lillie Mae Lang

Mrs. Lillie Mae Conner Lang, age 81 of Patrick Springs, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2006 at R. J. Reynolds Patrick County Memorial Hospital in Stuart. She was born in Patrick County on April 15, 1925 to the late Cord Lee and Nettie Mae Handy Conner. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lang was preceded in death by her husband, Claude R. Lang; a granddaughter, Heather Mae Thomas; three brothers, Curtis D., Frank and Quinton Conner; and one sister, Myrtle Conner Lang. She was known for her extensive travel in the United States and Canada, and was retired from Bassett-Walker Industries. She was a longtime member of Mayo Mountain Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Lang is survived by one daughter, Joanne Lang Shirley of Patrick Springs; one granddaughter, Laura Buchanan, and husband, Travis and two great-grandchildren, Breanne and Tyler Buchanan, all of Fieldale; one sister, Annie Conner Fain of Stuart; a special sister-in-law, Dorothy Conner; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lang will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
