Lillie Mae Scism

Miss Lillie Mae Scism, 93, of Mount Airy, passed away Thursday February 16, 2017 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born in Surry County on February 9, 1924 to the late Arthur G. Scism, Sr. and Minnie Mae Saunders Scism. Miss Scism retired as a bookkeeper from Workmens Federal Savings Bank and was a member of Haymore Memorial Baptist Church. Miss Scism was a beloved resident of Northern Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility. Miss Scism is survived by several nieces and nephews; the Dave Dinkins family who was her adopted family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday February 22, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy at 11:00 AM with Rev. Robert McCrary officiating.
