Linda Ann Smith Albahae

Linda Ann Smith Albahae, age 63, passed away at her home on June 15, 2025. She was the youngest daughter of the late Roy Sidney and Mildred King Smith. Linda graduated from East Surry High School and later Surry Community College. She spent time living in New York City before moving to Boca Raton, FL after the birth of her son David. She worked for AT&T Wireless for over 30 years and eventually moved from Boca Raton, back to Mount Airy to be closer to her family. For the past three years, she had been the caregiver for her father until he passed away in April of 2025. Linda loved her family and cherished the time she was able to spend with them. She also loved horses, and fondly remembered taking riding lessons when she was younger. Linda loved movies, especially the scary ones, though she claimed that none was ever scary enough for her liking. She loved to binge watch a good television series, some she would even watch over and over again. She was an avid news junkie, baseball fan and was always up for a card or board game. Linda is survived by her son, David Albahae, of Philadelphia, PA; her brothers and sisters Sandra and Jim Collins of Pilot Mountain, Tessa and Christopher Perrien of Durham, McCrae and Caroline Smith of Greensboro, and David Smith of Asheville; her nieces and nephews Justin and Meghan Collins, Joel and Katie Collins, Cameron and Megan Smith, Marin Smith, Alex Perrien, Owen Perrien, Tyler Prufer, Stefan Prufer, and Griffin and Meredith Prufer; her great nieces and nephews, Barrett, Sophia and Liam Collins, William and London Smith, and Penelope and Lincoln Wilson; her brother-in-law Doug Bryant (Kim); her aunts and uncle Brenda and Tommy Craft and Ruth Easter; along with several cousins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Mary Annette Bryant; brother-in-law Phillip Broughton; and niece Catherine Elizabeth Collins. There will be no formal visitation or funeral services.
