Linda Faye Boyd Lee

Mrs. Linda Faye Boyd Lee, 78 of Mount Airy passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday afternoon, April 9, 2026, at SECU Hospice Home in Yadkinville, NC. She was born in Surry County on September 18, 1947, to the late John Edward Boyd and Alta Quesinberry Boyd. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Nanny never met a stranger, after she met you, you were always on her mind and in her heart. Mrs. Lee loved to work in her garden and bake pound cakes. There was a running joke between her and her sisters with pink flamingos, you could always find them somewhere in her house, on her property, or about anywhere. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years, Jack Edward Lee; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Benita Lee; grandchildren, Eden and Jonathan Phillips, Beverly and Coty Sawyers, Jonathan and Jane Lee, Matthew and Candy Lee, Jacob Lee, Zachary Lee, and Payton Lee; great grandchildren, Adilyn Phillips, Danielle Sawyers, Marlee Phillips, and Ember Lee; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shelia and Richard Hardy, and Evelyn and Fred Tickle; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Teresa Boyd, several nieces and nephews, her special fur baby, Emma; and by many other family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by an infant son, John Travis Lee; son, Paul David Lee; and sisters, Jean Pipes and Judy Barker. A celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Tuesday April 14, 2026, in the Moody Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00pm with Dr. Jonathan Casstevens officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 – 2:00pm at Moody’s. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, SECU Hospice Home, and to Nurse Freedom for all of the love, care, and support given to Nanny and the family.
