Linda Gail Lowe Smith

Ms. Linda Gail Lowe Smith, 83, of Mount Airy, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Twelve Oaks Assisted Living Facility after a long illness. Ms. Smith was born on October 17, 1942, in Surry County, to the late Warren Kirk and Minnie Aylene Arrington Lowe. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who will surely be missed by all who knew and loved her. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Gail Shelton (Kim); her son, Gary Smith (Joyce); and her grandchildren, Samuel Smith and Dmitry Smith. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 10:00 AM at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Jimmy McCraw officiating. No formal visitation will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to New Bethel Baptist Church, 2826 Pipers Gap Road, Mount Airy, NC 27030; or the Alzheimer's Association .  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
