Linda Howard Lineberry

Linda Howard Lineberry, 78, of Elkin, North Carolina passed away at her home, Sunday, July 19, 2026. Born August 2, 1947, in Surry County, to the late John Irwin and Alma Lawson Howard. Linda was a member of Daysprings Baptist Chapel. She loved crafting and fishing, most of all, at the beach. Left to cherish her memory is her daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy Newman and Buddy, and Carolyn McCormick and Greg; grandchildren, Nathan Newman, and Madalyn Riggins; and brothers, Allen Howard, and Johnny Howard. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Tony Carroll Lineberry; and brothers, Larry Howard, Dennis Howard, and Alford Howard. The family will receive friends Friday, July 24, 2026, from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at Dayspring Baptist Chapel. Following the visitation, at 11:00 AM a funeral service will be held to honor Linda’s life at Daysprings Baptist Chapel, with Bro. Rick Crouse officiating. Burial will follow all services in the Welcome Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to extend special thanks to the Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care.
