Lloyd Joseph Bowman

Mr. Lloyd Joseph Bowman, 71, of 256 Cox Ridge Road, Claudville, VA, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2011, at his home. Mr. Bowman was born April 30, 1940, in Patrick County, VA, to the late Hillary and Mattie Willard Bowman. He retired from CMI Industries and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Bennie Craddock Bowman of the home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Lynnette Bowman of the home and Kimberly and Eric Felts of Mount Airy; two grandchildren, Shawna Felts and Lisa Felts, both of Mount Airy; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bowman was preceded in death by four sisters, Annie Frances Bowman, Opal Allen, Nannie Dawson, and Hazel Bowman; and two brothers, Howard Bowman and William Bowman. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Dwayne Sands officiating. Burial will follow in the Craddock Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
