Lois Lee Fowler Spicer

Mrs. Lois Lee Fowler Spicer, age 90. of Dobson, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Spicer was born August 26, 1936, in Surry County, to the late Robert Lee Fowler and the Late Ada Susan Walker Fowler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Marvin Lee Spicer Sr.

Mrs. Spicer was a loving wife, mother and grandmother; worked at Surry Yadkin EMC for 45 years, where she served as office manager; she was also a member of The Eastern Star; a member of Turkey Ford Baptist Church, where she was the piano player, and also a member of the WMU. Left to cherish her memories are her sons and daughter-in-law, Marvin Lee Spicer Jr. and Janet, and Glenn Spicer; grandchildren, Lheanne Sanders and Steven, And Dr. Marvin Lee Spicer III and Taylor; her special friend and companion, Lady; and her caregivers, Melissa, Pamela, Judy and Terri.

Visitation will be Saturday October 31, 2026, from 11:00 AM-12:00, at Turkey Ford Baptist Church. A funeral service will begin at 12:00, in the church, with Rev. Steven W. Corn and Pastor Austin Caviness officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Turkey Ford Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, or to Mountain Valley Hospice.
