Lois Ruth McBride

Mrs. Lois Ruth McBride, 61, of Cana, VA, passed away at the home of her daughter, Jessica, Thursday, December 22, 2022.  She was born in Galax, VA, August 8, 1961, to James Monroe Jones and the late Mable Ruth Easter Jones.  Mrs. McBride was a wonderful wife, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.  She loved all of God’s creatures and was known for making homes for wildlife such as squirrels and raccoons.  She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 41 years, Charles “Chuck” McBride; daughter, Jessica Jones and fiancé, Steve Hall; a stepdaughter, Nikki McBride; grandchildren, Brittany McBride Alley, Damon Jones, Catlin McBride, Kelsey Edwards; great grandchildren, Bryson Alley and Keyton Alley; sisters, Jamie Spencer, Lishia Jones, Lori Robinson.  In addition to her mother, Mrs. McBride was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Lawyer.  The family will receive friends at the home on Monday, December 26, 2022, from 1:00 until 3:00 PM.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com
