Lonnie Joe Phillips

Mr. Lonnie Joe Phillips, age 54, of Mount Airy, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at his home. Mr. Phillips was born in Grayson County, Virginia on June 28, 1969 to Tilda Eastridge Phillips and the late Joseph Phillips. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Holli Noel Phillips (Darius Lane Rogers); sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Nester (Tony), Georgia Jones (Gary); brothers, Gary Phillips, and Winfred Phillips; sister-in-law, Rebecca McCall (John). Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his wife, Melissa Kaye Burks Phillips; sister, Laura May Gwynn, and his father, Joseph Phillips. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the People’s Church Cemetery with a service conducted by Rev. Rickey Martin. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:30 PM until the time to leave for the service.
