Loraine Park Richards

Mrs. Loraine Park Richards age 94 of Mt. Airy, NC passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born June 11, 1919 in Surry County daughter of the late Lloyd Caldwell Park and Mary Eliza Jones Park. Mrs. Richards was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where she had been a Sunday school teacher, was a member of the choir, and was still a member of the WOM. She was also a longtime member of the Beulah Home Demonstration Club. Surviving is her daughter Mary Jane Stockton of Mt. Airy, one granddaughter and spouse Kristi Key and husband, Ken Key of Charlotte, three great grandchildren Haley Key, Tyler Key and Grayson Key all of Charlotte, a brother-in-law Dr. Swanson Richards and wife Ruth of Mt. Airy, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Richards was preceded in death by her husband Robert Richards, two brothers Glenn Otha Park and Coy Mack Park and by two sisters Gracie Lucille Park and Mary Allen Park. Funeral services will be held Saturday April 12, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with service conducted by Rev. Alton Bledsoe . Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 AM until time for the service at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 272 Oak Grove Church Road, Mt. Airy, NC. 27030 or to the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd. Dobson, NC. 27017.
