Louneil Venable Mosley

Mrs. Louneil Venable Mosley, 90, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday, September 15, 2014, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Mosley was born January 17, 1924, in Surry County, to Jerry and Sally Bowman Venable. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother and was a member of Stewarts Creek Primitive Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Roger Cook; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Terri Mosley and Doyle and Jamie Mosley; a son-in-law, Winfred Ray Hall; grandchildren, Jeanette, Rhonda, Adrienne, Kirsten, Brad, Brandon, Maria, William, Nicky and Maggie; great-grandchildren, Blake, Tyler, Kayla, Karson, Lance, Catherine, Harley, Meagan, Silas, Ashtyn, Harrison, Alexis; great-great-granddaughter, Jordyn; a sister and brother-in-law, Sally and Wayne Moser; and two sisters-in-law, Rhumell Venable and Mary Lou Venable. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mosley was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Arnold Mosley; a daughter, Donna Louneil Mosley Hall; three sisters, Mary Ruth, Bernelle and Catherine; and five brothers, Wade, Ted, Vance, Keith and Don. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with Elder Jimmy Joyce officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Children's Center of Surry, P.O.
