Mrs. Lucille Handy Layman, age 100 of Stuart, Virginia transitioned from Earth to join her Savior and Lord on Thursday, April 20, 2023.  She was born on May 10, 1922, to the late John Franklin Handy and Rosa Bell Martin Handy.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Raymond Layman; one sister, Nannie Dee Handy; and four brothers and three sisters-in-law, John Abe Handy and wife, Lonie, Fred Dudley Handy and wife, Vesta, Noel Jasper Handy and Velma, and Samuel Raymond Handy.  Lucille was very content to be a stay-at-home wife and mother.
