Lucy Rebecca "Becky" Tucker

Mrs. Lucy Rebecca “Becky” Branch Tucker, age 82, of Fancy Gap, Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026. She was born June 5, 1944, in Spruce Pine, North Carolina to the late Lizzie Belle Branch and Tom Harris. She grew up in a military family and much of her younger years were spent traveling to different air force bases. Mrs. Tucker later moved to Pilot Mountain in 1977, with her two children, Theresa and Paul. She subsequently married Dr. Kent Tucker in 1986, and she became the love of his life for almost 40 years. She served as office manager in his dental practice until her retirement. Mrs. Tucker was a beautiful, dynamic and loving wife and mother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Kent of the home; her daughter, Theresa Slechta of Seattle, Washington; her son, Paul Slechta (Tiffany) of Grapevine, Texas; granddaughter, Katelyn; grandson, Tucker; stepdaughter, Terry Tucker of Hillsborough, NC; stepson, Matthew (Amy); step grandson, Christian. A celebration of Mrs. Tucker’s life will be held at a later date. Moodys of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Tucker family.
