Mrs. Luella Hiatt White, age 85, of Danbury, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday evening, July 7, 2026, at Novant Health Community Hospital of Stokes County. Mrs. White was born in Carroll County, Virginia, on January 12, 1941, to the late Thomas Edgar and Sally Ann Gwyn Hiatt. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sibling and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Mrs. White was a hard working women, she worked many years at RJ Reynolds, loved gardening, and loved the mountains and beach as a getaway. Left to cherish her memories are her loving children and their spouses, Bobby White and Lori, Ray White, Tommy White and Rachel, Jeffrey White, Michael White and Misty; grandchildren, James White, Timothy White, Josh White, Abigail White, Shadow Nicole White, Paul Gleen White and Lanette Hunter; brother, Leroy Hiatt. In addition to her parents, Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Henry White; grandchildren, Joey White, Scott White, Jacob White, JW White, Tamera White; sister, Dorothy Fulp; brother, Richard Hiatt. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Andrew Willard officiating. There will not be any formal visitation held at this time. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Moodys of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the White family.
