Marcus Worrell McMillian

Mr. Marcus Worrell McMillian, 54, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday, August 2, 2010, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. McMillian was born July 30, 1956, in Forsyth County, to Jesse McMillian and the late Garnelle Sutphin McMillian. He worked in construction before he became disabled and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia McMillian of the home; a daughter, Casey Wall of Mount Airy; a son, Luke McMillian of Mount Airy; seven grandchildren, David Childress, III, Austin Childress, Levi Childress, Cody Wall, Sunny Wall, and Anna Rose McMillian, all of Mount Airy, and Page Harlis of Pearisburg, VA; and his father, Jesse McMillian of Mount Airy. In addition to his mother, Mr. McMillian was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca McMillian. The funeral service will be held Thursday, August 5, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Bill Spurlin and the Rev. Jack Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Epworth United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
