Margaret Ruth "Granny" Bowman

Margaret Ruth “Granny” Bowman, age 90 of Stuart, passed away Monday, August 11, 2025 at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart. She was born in Patrick County on October 22, 1934 to the late Yance Bowman and Rosa Ann Branch Bowman. In addition to her parents, Ms. Bowman was preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Agee and Juanita Fain; a sister, Macie Bowman; and two brothers, Reed Bowman and Edgar Bowman. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church.

Ms. Bowman is survived by one son, William Virgil “Bill” Bowman (Edith) of Stuart; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mabel B. Hiatt of Stuart.

A graveside service for Ms. Bowman will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Five Forks Wesleyan Church Cemetery with Pastor Mark Wright officiating.
