Mrs. Margaret Arlene Johnson Snow, 75, of 590 Double Creek Road, Dobson, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2000, at Surry Community Nursing Center in Mount Airy. Mrs. Snow was born January 14, 1925, in Surry County, the daughter of the late Willie Franklin and Maude Stone Johnson. Mrs. Snow graduated from Copeland High School in 1943. She was a homemaker and member of Double Creek Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Clyde Olin Snow of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Dale Hardy of Dobson; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Terry Clyde Snow and Jerry and Cheryl Snow, all of Dobson; two grandchildren, Joshua Hardy and Sarah Hardy, both of Dobson; a sister and brother-in-law, Maudine and Herald York of Mount Airy; and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Henderson Johnson of Mount Airy and Bill and Reecie Johnson of Dobson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Snow was preceded in death by two sisters, Ada Ellen Money and Beatrice Hamlin; and a brother, Herbert Johnson. The funeral service will be held Sunday, July 9, 2000, at 2:00 PM at Double Creek Church of Christ. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Robert Parish and the Rev. Dan Villarreal, and burial will be in the Double Creek Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Double Creek Church of Christ, and other times at the home of Joyce and Dale Hardy, 646 Double Creek Road, Dobson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Double Creek Church of Christ Cemetery Fund, c/o J.D. Martin, 1764 NC Highway 268, Dobson, NC 27017. Moody Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Snow family.
