Marine Jones

Mrs. Marine Cagle Jones, 89 of Cana, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, May 22, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Mrs. Jones was born in Carroll County on June 21, 1928 to the late Emma Susey Cagle.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who will be dearly missed by all that knew her.  Left to cherish her memory are two daughters and sons-in-law, Kendra and Doyle Montgomery, and Fonda and Ronnie Mankins both of Cana; 5 grandchildren, Shawn Montgomery and wife Chenoa, Ronald Mankins and wife Angela, Patricia Stover and husband Wade, Jeffrey Mankins and wife Nancy, and Andrew Mankins and wife Alexis; 14 great-grandchildren, Josh Stover, Jacob Melton, Thomas Montgomery, Gabriel Melton, Alexis Montgomery, Hunter Mankins, Reagan Mankins, Ellisyn Mankins, Titus Stover, Harper Mankins, Jaxson Mankins, Aryel Mankins, Jeremiah Mankins, and Holston Mankins; and a special sister-in-law, Lucretia Edwards.  In addition to her mother, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Cephas Christopher Jones.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Moody Funeral Home at 11am with Rev. Oscar Hill officiating.  Burial will follow in the Epworth United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Wednesday night, May 23, 2018 from 6-8pm at Moody Funeral Home.  The family would like to say Thank You to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative care and also to Mrs. Jones’ special care-giver, Laura Patton.
