Mark D. Combs

Mr. Mark D. Combs, age 65 of Mount Airy, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Combs was born on July 26, 1959, in Surry County, to Shirley Martin Combs and the late Reverend Aaron Paul Combs. Mark was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Surviving is his mother, Shirley Martin Combs; sister and brother-in-law, Paulette Combs Shinault and Harold; special niece, Wendy Shinault; nephew, Casey Shinault; grandnieces, Sumer Nicole Hiatt, Mandy Hiatt Mustapick, Hannah Faye Hiatt; great-grand niece, Mallie “Baby” Layne Hiatt. In addition to his father, Mr. Combs was also preceded in death by a sister, Diana Lynn Combs Nunn; and a niece, Tiffany Hamby. No formal services will be held at this time. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
