Marland Perry Hardy, Jr.

Mr. Marland Perry Hardy Jr., age 81, of Stuart, Virginia went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at his home.  He was born in Norfolk, Virginia on December 22, 1941, to the late Marland Perry Hardy Sr. and Bessie Mae Davis Hardy.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Sammy Hardy. Marland loved the Lord and was faithful to his church and reading the Word of God.  He was a devoted husband, loving father, and grandaddy.  He was a missionary and supported the Tabernacle Children’s Home in Greenville, South Carolina. 

Left to cherish the memories of Mr. Hardy are his loving wife, Agnes Louise Goude Hardy of the home; one son, Marland Perry Hardy III of Buffalo, Wyoming; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vicky Hardy Cook (Ray) of Gaston, North Carolina, Tina Hardy Aycock (Clyde) of Skippers, Virginia; two grandchildren, Clyde “C.J.” Aycock, Jr. of Skippers, Virginia, Hunter Aycock (Kendra) of Muncy, Pennsylvania; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David Hardy (Debbie) of Stuart, Virginia, Larry Hardy (Vickie) of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; two sisters and brother-in-law, Peggy Hardy Shipp (Mike) of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, Lisa Hardy of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service for Mr. Hardy will be held Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at New Beginnings Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Wright and Pastor J.R. Shelton officiating. A burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to the Tabernacle Children’s Home, 3931 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC 29611.
