Marlene Annette Buxton

9/19/35-9/18/18

Marlene was born in Miami, FL to Margaret and Adolf Vogl. She is survived by her husband Billie of Meadows Of Dan, daughter Elaine Little of Meadows Of Dan, son Lou Baranello of Portland, OR, and two stepdaughters Donna Tilly and Linda (Lad) Tweedie of FL. She has 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She has a favorite cousin Billy Fisher who she grew up very close to, they were like brother and sister. She also leaves her very best friend since childhood, Nancy Allen. Marlene moved to Meadows Of Dan in 2008 after falling in love with the mountain community and the music. She always loved people and they loved her back for her sweet, kindness and welcoming demeanor. Although she fought a long hard battle with Parkinson’s Disease she never complained, greeting each day with a smile. Perhaps the love of her life was her little dog and constant companion Reggie who was always by her side and will be forever. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Parkinson’s Foundation. A graveside service will be held at Meadows Of Dan Baptist Church, Friday, September 21, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Shawn Carter officiating. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is handling the arrangements.
