Martha Johnson Gentry

Mrs. Martha Johnson Gentry, 62, of Dobson, North Carolina passed away April 6, 2026, at her home. Born February 27, 1964, in Grayson County, Virginia to the late Elbert Coolidge Johnson and the late Doris Richardson Hodges. Martha was a devoted and faithful Christian. You would often find Martha in prayer, praying for those around her. She would do anything for anyone with a smile on her face. She loved everybody, especially her husband, son, and grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Larry Gentry; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher Gentry and Kelly; grandchildren, Madison Gentry, Michael Gentry, and Meredith Gentry; and stepbrother, Samuel Hodges. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Audine Royall. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Chad Whitley officiating. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson, NC is serving the Gentry family.
