Mary Mills Byrd

Mrs. Mary Mills Overby Byrd, 91, of Mt. Airy, passed away Monday, May 25, 2020.  She was born in Surry County, June 7, 1928 to the late Matt and Alma Irene McMickle Overby.  This precious lady will be lovingly remembered by her son, Jack Byrd, Jr.; granddaughters, Candi Byrd-King, and Christi Smiley and husband, Rick; great grandchildren, Sabra Lowe, Tanner King, Autumn Eldridge, Reagan Smiley; and her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Mildred Overby.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Byrd was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Byrd, Sr. and a brother, Teddy Ray Overby.  There will not be any formal visitation or service at this time.
