Mary Ann Calhoun

Mrs. Mary Ann Goad Calhoun, age 76, of Dobson, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at her residence. She was born July 5, 1949, in Carroll County Virginia, to the late Alvin Ray Goad and the late Lucy Elizabeth Haynes Goad. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Esther Rigney.

Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 43 years, Jimmy Calhoun; her sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Ray Bryant; her niece, Stacy Akers; and her nephews, Johnny, Teddy and Robert Rigney. Mrs. Calhoun was a devoted wife. She was a kind and humble woman, and had worked at Spencer’s in Mount Airy A Celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 12, 2026, in the Moody-Davis Chapel, with Dr. Jonathan Casstevens officiating. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is respectfully serving the Calhoun family.
