Mary Edith (Senter) Smith

Ms. Mary Edith Senter Smith, age 81, of Lambsburg, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Ms. Smith was born on October 24, 1943, in Surry County to the late Emmett and Mary Magdalene Spencer Senter. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, cousin, and friend. Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Angela Smith Bryant and husband Blain; son, William Adam Smith and fiancée Heather Leigh Speer; three grandchildren and their spouses, Drew Bryant and wife Shelly, Joshua Smith and Jenna, Landon Smith; two great-grandchildren, Jameson Smith, Emmett Bryant; and special cousins, Jeannette Bryant, Ramona Alderman, Brenda Lindsey, and Carolyn Beasley. Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her parents. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Reverend Michael Combs officiating. Interment will follow in Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Moody Funeral Home from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangement.
