Mary Faye Lowe Jarvis

Mrs. Mary Faye Lowe Jarvis, age 100, of Mount Airy, went to her heavenly home on Sunday night April 30, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Surry County on February 8, 1923, to the late Talmadge Plato Lowe and Lottie Alma Vaughan Lowe.  Mrs. Jarvis was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  Mary Faye retired from Perry Manufacturing after 25 years of service.  Left to cherish her memory are 2 daughters and son-in-law, Mary Ida Nations, and Brenda Brindle and Robert; 2 grandchildren, Victoria Grey and Darren, and Paul Brindle and Rhonda; 7 great-grandchildren, Nicole Grey Scearce and Corey, Laken Jade Brindle Shelton and Tyler, Kyley McKenna Brindle, Nicolas Darren Grey, Carrie Hawks, Corey Hawks, and Colter Hawks; one great great-granddaughter, Charleston Scearce, Baby Scearce on the way, sister, Helen Bartley; a sister-in-law, Frankie Lowe; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jarvis was preceded in death by her husband, Thurmond Blaire Jarvis; 2 grandsons, Robert Blair Nations and Joe Frank Nations, Jr.; a great great-granddaughter, Lucie Blaire Scearce; 2 sisters, Zella Lee Goings, and Runelle Moran; 6 brothers, Douglas Lowe, Decosta Lowe, Dillard Lowe, Crissie Lowe, Talmadge “Bill” Lowe, and Franklin Lowe; and a son-in-law, Joe Nations.  Graveside services will be held Wednesday May 3, 2023, at 2:00PM at Skyline Memory Gardens with Rev. Kevin Wilson and Rev. Joe Smith officiating.  The family would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care for all of the love, care, and support shown to GG and the family during her illness.  Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to New Life Baptist Church, C/O Scottie Isaacs, 3080 Haystack Road, Mount Airy, NC 27030.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
