Mary Ellen Finney

Ms. Mary Ellen Finney, age 75 of Sparta passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Lotus Village Nursing and Rehabilitation in Sparta. Ms. Finney was born April 16, 1949, in Yadkin County to the late Lake James and Lillian Bryant Finney. Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Denise Collins-Gambill and Ricky; son and daughter-in-law, Mitchell James Collins and Sandra; grandchildren and spouses, Amber Nevada Collins, Jacob Collins-Gambill and Angela, Shyann Elizabeth Collins, Ricky Justin Gambill; great-grandchildren, Colton, Alice, Onyx; and one brother, Dennis James Finney. Mrs. Finney was preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to your local Lifeline Crisis Center or to a Mental Health Organization. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
