Mary Frances Frye

Mrs. Mary Frances Love Frye, age 87, of Mount Airy passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Frye was born in Surry County on March 6, 1939, to the late William Howard and Vera Virginia Hall Love. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Frye was a longtime owner/operator of Granite City Floor Covering for 50 years and was a faithful member of Bannertown Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. She also was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution. Left to cherish her memories are her son and daughter-in-law, Timothy “Tim” Frye and wife, Cheryl; grandson, Travis Frye and wife, Nikki; great-grandchild, Vera Frye; numerous cousins and other relatives. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Frye was preceded in death by her loving husband, Brockley Lee “Brock” Frye; infant sister, Shelva Jean Love. A celebration of Mrs. Frye’s life will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Bannertown Baptist Church, with the Rev. Cory Baldwin and Rev. Rickey Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Indian Grove Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 12:30 PM until time of the service. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to Bannertown Baptist Church c/o Rodney Dockery 1834 Westfield Road, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
