Mary Ella Goad Good

Mrs. Mary Ella Goad Good, age 86, of Mt, Airy, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at her home. She was born on June 8, 1939 in Surry County to the late James and Carrie Lankford Goard. She was a loving mother and sister who will surely be missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory are her son, John Good, his significant other, and Mary’s caretaker, Robin Thompson; sisters, Susan Patterson (Larry), Jean Marion (Jasper), Faye Goard; brother, Jack Goad; nephew, Mike Marion, Stan Marion, and Dr. Brad Goad; niece, Kim Patterson. In addition to her parents Mrs. Good was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Good; nephew, Jimmy Patterson. Memorial donations may be made in honor of Mrs. Good to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital online. There will be no formal services at the funeral home at this time.
