Mary Louise Beasley Guynn

Mrs. Mary Louise Beasley Guynn, age 92, of Ararat, VA passed away June 3, 2026, at Northern Regional Hospital. She was born in Patrick County, VA, May 26, 1934, the daughter of the late Murray Hooker Beasley and Mary Epperson Beasley Anderson. Mrs. Guynn was a graduate of Blue Ridge High School and a longtime resident of Ararat, VA. She was a woman of many talents. Mrs. Guynn worked as a teacher assistant at Blue Ridge School, was a payroll clerk at Eco-Knit, and took the school census for Patrick County Public Schools. She was active in the community and a member of Unity Church for many years along with her husband, James Gray Guynn. Mrs. Guynn is survived by her children, Cheryl Bowling and her husband Brent, Donna Golding and her husband Tommy, and her son Jim Guynn and his wife Marie; grandchildren, Corey Bowling (Lisa), Jamey Bowling (Gretchen), Christy Bowling Sutton (Jonathan), Derrick Guynn (Brandy), Kimberly Guynn (Tyler), Justin Golding, and Ashley Golding; great grandchildren, Mary Bowling, James Bowling, Caitlyn Sutton, Isabella “Bella” Bowling, Jillian Sutton, Blair Bowling, Grayson Guynn, Everley Guynn, and Willow Guynn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Gray Guynn of 74 ½ years of marriage and brother, George Beasley. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Mr. Jamey Bowling officiating. Interment will follow in Unity Church Cemetery. The family will have a visitation with friends and family at the funeral home on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 1:00 PM until time of the service.
