Mary "Brenda" Nixon Henderson

Mary "Brenda" Nixon Henderson, age 71, of State Road, NC passed away on Thursday evening January 8, 2015. She was born in Surry County on September 14, 1943 to the late James Spencer Nixon and the late Martha Ellen Harris Nixon. Brenda was a retired registered nurse and a member of Mountain Park Baptist Church. Surviving is her husband Albert Ray Henderson of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law Christina and Keith Lashmit of Mocksville, Melissa and Scott Sanders of State Road; three grandchildren Alisha Hope Sanders, Beth Amanda Lashmit, Matthew McCray Sanders; two brothers and Sisters-in-law James and Stella Nixon of State Road, Nicky and Margie Nixon of Wilkesboro; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday January 11, 2015 at Mountain Park Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Mountain Park Cemetery. Rev. Tony Bowman and Rev. Russell Nixon will conduct the services. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson.
