Mary Frances Danley Hooker

Mrs. Mary Frances Danley Hooker, 77, of Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday morning, November 29, 2022, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Mrs. Hooker was born September 14, 1945, in Surry County, the daughter of the late Ernest William and Elsie Arlene Taylor Danley.  Mary Frances was a homemaker and a member of Little Mountain Baptist Church.  She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Cilbert Reeves Hooker of the home; a daughter, Annette Hooker of Mount Airy; a son, Randy Hooker of the home; a granddaughter and her husband, Amanda and Justin Easter of Rural Hall; a grandson and his wife, Brian “Short Duck” and Erica Parker of Mount Airy; two brothers and sisters-in-law, the Rev. Frank Danley, Roger and Kaye Danley, and Patricia Danley, all of Ararat; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hooker was preceded in death by two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Alma Danley, Junior Danley, and Jean Danley.  The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Little Mountain Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bill Watson, the Rev. Ray Hutson, the Rev. Jack Anderson, and the Rev. Frank Danley officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church.  The family wishes to express their gratitude for the love and compassion shown by the staff at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
