Mary "Inez" Beasley Badgett

Mrs. Mary “Inez” Beasley Badgett, age 81, of Mount Airy, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, February 23, 2026. She was born in Surry County, April 10, 1944 to the late Calvin and Lillie Flippin Beasley.

Inez was a graduate of North Surry High School, class of 1962 and worked for Surry County Schools as a teachers assistant impacting the lives of many special needs students. She is remembered for her generosity, kindness and her Christian life was an example for us all to follow. She was a faithful member of Community Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Kimberly (Joey) Blackburn, Ashley (David) Fulk; grandchildren, Savannah Blackburn, Blake Fulk and fiancé Ellie Gallimore, Nolan Blackburn, Nathanael Fulk; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald (Jean) Badgett. Mrs. Badgett was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Lee “Mickey” Badgett; sisters, Peggy Isabell Beasley Marshall and Betty Lou Beasley Marshall.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Community Baptist Church with Pastor Brad Quesinberry officiating. The family will receive friends starting at 1PM until the service begins and burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery.

The Badgett family would like to express their gratitude to the congregation of Community Baptist Church for all the friendships, prayers, and love given to them. Also, a special thank you to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for the care and support given to Mrs. Badgett and the family during her illness.
