Obituary

     Mrs. Mary Frances Adkins Ingram, age 82 of Martinsville, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Mulberry Creek Nursing Home in Martinsville. She was born on January 9, 1944, in Henry County to the late Charlie Raymond Adkins, Sr. and Elizabeth Haynes Adkins. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ingram was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Dean Ingram; two brothers, Buddy Adkins, Sr. and Charlie Raymond Adkins, Jr.; and three sisters, Linda Marie Hall, Shirley Jane Martin and Perlina “Polly” Hancock.

     Mrs. Ingram was a member of Fairystone Baptist Church. She loved reading her Bible. She never knew a stranger as she enjoyed talking to and getting to know people. She was a caregiver, mother and friend to many.

     Mrs. Ingram is survived by her husband of 65 years, Moir Ellis Ingram of Stuart; a son, Ronnie Ellis Ingram (Sharon) of Stuart; two grandsons, Robert Ellis Ingram of Stuart and Joshua William Ingram of Oregon; a sister, Faye Linkous of Bassett; and several nieces and nephews.

     A celebration of life service will be held Friday, July 10, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor David Gaylor officiating. A private burial will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ross Harbour Cemetery Fund, c/o Cathy Adams, 35 Goblintown Road, Stuart, Virginia 24171.
