Mary Ruth Berrier Marion

Ms. Mary Ruth Berrier Marion, 84, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022, at her home.  Ms. Marion was born August 12, 1937, in Surry County, one of two daughters born to the late Jacob Raleigh and Grace Etta Tolbert Berrier.  She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.  She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Lorrie and Stephen Barker and Melanie Lynn Nace; a son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Diane Cook; six grandchildren, Angela Nicole Messick, Joshua Craig Cook, Jennifer Marion, Lyndsy Cowing, Caleb Cowing, and Jacob Cowing; and several great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Ms. Marion was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Berrier Simpson.  A memorial service celebrating the life of Ms. Marion will be held at a later date.  The family wishes to thank Nancy Dawson, Barb and Jim Gortz, Brenda Goins, Deanna Geoghegan, and Kitty Martin for their help and support during her final days.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Marion family.
