Mary "Virginia" Mosley

Mrs. Mary “Virginia” Stone Mosley, 95, of Mt. Airy passed away Friday, January 26, 2024, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  She was born in Surry County on April 28, 1928, to the late Clifford and Thelma Oakley Stone.  Mrs. Mosley retired from Northern Surry Hospital and was a faithful member of Community Baptist Church.  She is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Pat Stockner, Cheryl Williams and Kenneth; grandchildren, Andrew Creed and Kenzie, Dr. Eric Creed and Caitlin; greatgrandchild, Jesse Creed; a brother and sisters-in-law, Rev. Larry Stone and Betty, and Goldie Stone; devoted pet, Delilah; nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mosley was preceded in death by her husband, Alpha Mosley; a brother, Ray Stone.  A funeral service will be held Monday, January 29, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Community Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Stone officiating.   Burial will follow in Community Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church.  Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017.   Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
