Mary "Susan" Easter

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sweet cousin, Mary Susan Easter on October 21, 2024. Susan was a dedicated Christian who dearly loved her mother and daddy, her cousins and friends, and especially her cousin Joshua who gave her much laughter. Susan was born in Mount Airy on 

December 21, 1955, to Jack and Gladys Easter. She was a graduate of North Surry High School and after several years at various jobs with local textile companies, she attended Surry Community College where she obtained her CNA certification. Susan cared for her ailing parents through their later years and after their passing, Susan was employed by Northern Surry Hospital and Golden Living Nursing Home.

The lives of Susan’s family and friends were blessed by her presence, her innocence, and her many acts of kindness. She was a kind, loving, and caring person, and her departure leaves a void in our lives as well as the lives of her friends. As we grapple with the sudden loss of Susan’s physical presence, we find comfort in knowing that she is now in the presence of our Lord. 

A graveside service is planned for a future date. Instead of flowers the family requests donations be made to a charity of their choice.
