Mary Ann Wood

Mrs. Mary Ann Barker Wood, 66, of Lowgap, passed away Sunday morning, March 3, 2019, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  Mrs. Wood was born June 15, 1952, to the late Richard Lee and Thelma Howlett Barker.  She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are her husband Charles “Buster” Wood of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Frances and Danny Richardson, grandchildren, Dusty Eaton and wife Chelsey, great grandchildren Nora Eaton and Wyatt Eaton; brother and sister-in-law, Wade and Rebecca Barker and a nephew Joseph Barker and wife Becky.  A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Oak Grove Baptist Church with services conducted by Rev. Alton Bledsoe and Rev. Mark Blackburn.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time for the service at the Church.  The family request that in lieu of flowers that donation may be made to the church cemetery c/o Brenda Swift 430, Woltz Adkins Road, Mt Airy NC 27030.
