Mason Radford Gilley

Mr. Mason Radford Gilley, 20, of Mount Airy, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday night, December 31, 2022.  Mr. Gilley was born November 19, 2002, in Forsyth County, the son of Cynthia “Cindy” Chilton Smith and John David Gilley.  Mason graduated from Mount Airy High School in 2021 and was employed at Steve Tate and Son Plumbing, Inc.  He is survived by his mother, Cynthia “Cindy” Chilton Smith of Mount Airy; his father, John David Gilley of Mount Airy; a sister and brother-in-law, Abby and Karson Gough of Mount Airy; a brother, Houston Gilley of Mount Airy; his maternal grandmother, Frances Oleeta Chilton of Mount Airy; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.  A service of worship and celebration of Mason’s life will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Isreal Gwyn officiating.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
