Mr. Matthew Skyler Vindich, age 28, passed away unexpectedly on June 21, 2026, in Surry County, NC. Mr. Vindich was born on January 1, 1998, to the late Jason Richard Vindich and Mary Frances Atkins Vindich. Mr. Vindich was a graduate of Mount Airy High School. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and he worked as a security guard at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. Surviving is his mother, Mary Frances Atkins Vindich; sister, Sasha Vindich; and grandmother, Eleanor Atkins. In addition to his father, Mr. Vindich was preceded in death by his sister Sophia Vindich. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 3:00 PM with Bishop Brian Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 162 Temple Lane, Mount Airy, NC 27030 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM. Interment will follow in Indian Grove Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023. Arrangements are entrusted to Moody Funeral Service of Mount Airy, NC.
