Melinda Gail Coins Gwynn

Mrs. Melinda Gail Coins Gwynn, age 68, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at her home. She was born on November 6, 1956 in Surry County to the late Rev. Edward Coins and the late Della Marion Coins. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 49 years, David Gwynn; daughter, Samantha Goins (Doug); grandchildren, Lucy, Lucas, and Lillie Goins; sisters, Vivian Martin (Keith), Susan Akers (Ronald); brother, James Coins (Tammy) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents Mrs. Gwynn was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Coins. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with service conducted by Rev. Luke Pyles. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6-8pm at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
