Michael Wayne Coots

Mr. Michael Wayne Coots, 57, of Lambsburg, VA, passed away Monday, April 26, 2010, at Forsyth Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Mr. Coots was born March 17, 1953, in Surry County, to Louvenia Lyons Coots and the late Robert Paul Coots. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Louvenia Lyons Coots Love and Alton Love of Lambsburg, VA; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles Coots of Huntington, WV, Hal and Sharon Coots of Sparta, and Phil and Kim Coots of Lambsburg, VA; a sister and brother-in-law, Julie and John Smith of Lambsburg, VA; a favorite niece, Megan Hampton; and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Mr. Coots was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Shelton and Kay Gaskins; and a brother, Paul Coots. There will not be a formal service and the family has requested flowers not be sent. The family will receive friends at the home of his mother and step-father, Louvenia and Alton Love in Lambsburg, VA, on Wednesday, April, 28, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
