Michael Lynn Hooker

Mr. Michael Lynn Hooker, age 62, of Mt. Airy, NC passed away on Sunday evening October 28, 2018, at Kindred Health in Greensboro, NC. He was born in Forsyth County on April 20, 1956, to Beulah Lankford Hooker and the late Herbert Hoover Hooker, in addition to his father he was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.

He was a truck driver, and of the Baptist faith. He was a loving father and grandfather, Harley enthusiast, and Nascar fan. His laugh and love to tell stories will be greatly missed. Surviving are his mother, two sons, Michael Jason Hooker and his wife, Leann Hooker of Ararat, NC, Jacob Bradley Hooker of Mt. Airy; three grandchildren, Alex Hooker, Summer Hooker, Kenzie Hooker; the mother of his children, Linda Atkins Hooker of Mt. Airy; one sister, Patricia Garr. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at Blackwater Community Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Rev. Timmy Crotts will officiate the service. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson on Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
