Michael J. Shelton

Mr. Michael J Shelton, 83, of Pilot Mountain passed away suddenly on Monday, January 1, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.  He was born in McDowell County, West Virginia on August 9, 1940.  He is survived by his wife, Shirley Wright Shelton.  A private burial will be at Pilot Mountain City Cemetery.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Pilot Mountain with Dr. Andy Hughes officiating.  Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 818 Pilot Mountain, NC 27041 or to Pilot Knob Park Country Club, 450 Club House Dr., Pilot Mountain, NC 27041, Attn Youth Golf Clinic.  Moody Funeral Services in Mt. Airy is serving the Shelton family.
