Mr. Michael Jonathan “Jon” Lewis, 40, of Lowgap, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2025, at his home. Mr. Lewis was born February 8, 1985, in Surry County, to Michael Keith and Tammy King Lewis. A hardworking and dedicated man, Jon was the proud owner and operator of T and J Junk Removal, a business he built with grit, determination, and a heart for helping others. He never hesitated to lend a hand – whether it was clearing out a neighbor’s garage or helping a friend move. He is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Kaylynn and Victor Pivaral, Kayden Church, and Gracie Lewis; his parents, Michael Keith and Tammy King Lewis; a brother, Joshua Phillip Lewis; two nephews, Ryder Lewis and Alex Spainhour; and his partner, Lalena Long. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Salem Fellowship Church Cemetery, with Elder V.J. Hawks officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 until 1:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
